Oracle
The Oracles are people capable of divine and mysterious powers. They are chosen vessels that usually, do not seek power; rather, power seeks them, descending like a shroud upon their lives, altering their fate forever. Unlike Clerics, who draw upon the sacred energies of their devotion to a single god, oracles are conduits of a far more mysterious origin. They are touched by the will of many gods, their power a confluence of divine forces aligned with their inherent beliefs and ideals.
Oracles do not serve one master, but instead, walk a path illuminated by the collective will of the pantheon that resonates with their spirit. Their gift—or curse, as many would argue—bestows upon them abilities they barely comprehend, yet must wield with purpose. The gods' intentions are often obscured, leaving the oracle to interpret their cryptic guidance and act upon a destiny they did not choose.
To some, the life of an oracle is a blessing, a sign of favor from the heavens. To others, it is a harrowing burden, a relentless force that strips them of the freedom to shape their own fate. Their existence becomes a dance with the unknown, a journey through visions and portents that bind them closer to the divine, but farther from the mortal lives they once knew. In a world where the gods speak through many voices, none are as compelling—and as conflicted—as the voice of the oracle.
