Blightsouls are manifested vines in the Thicket of Thorns who have collected enough tears from souls to gain some sentience, They move into something vaguely humanoid that is free from the restraints of the plants they came from. This new entity is driven to collect more and more tears in some form of endless, thorny hunger.
While they are in the Thicket, they can blend into their surroundings perfectly, allowing them to prey on unsuspecting victims. Their goal is to cause pain — physical or mental — not death. They want their victims to suffer and cry.

Basic Information

Anatomy

While they are mostly humanoid, the vines that grow all over them are able to lash out on their own if needed. And all of their bodies are covered in small thorns. While they do have a head-shape and it does seem to be responsible for their senses, it isn't the sensitive area that it is for most humanoids. They can have their "head" shot off and still be moving.
