Toril (#347)

One of the many reflections of the world of Toril that echo through the multiverse, similar though not quite the same, as snow on a cold wind.   This magic-infused world, being something of a meeting place of several cosmic forces of the multiverse, is home to an eclectic menagerie of denizens. In the ages since the Divine walked the world in flesh before retreating from it, countless civilizations have risen and fallen as they compete and vie for supremacy over one another. More bestial creatures also wage a war for survival, more savage and primal but similarly perilous. Meanwhile the threat of intrusion by threats otherwordly and bizarre in nature spell danger for life on this world and all others.   In the ruins of ancient empires and monstrous lairs, intrepid adventurers venture forth into the unknown. Some simply seek to stake a claim on the riches in the world there for the taking. Others have more personal reasons for choosing such a perilous undertaking, such as a desire to protect the world from its many evils. A few more simply live for the thrill of danger and violence. Whatever draws these brave or foolish individuals into the broader world, renown and treasure beyond dreams awaits the clever and fortunate. Death is the only reward for those less of either.   These volumes record the stories of these adventurers and the world around them.
