A half-timbered house with a millwheel playing in the creek running past if, the Inn of Wayward Wanderers is a welcome sight for everyone, but somehow it most often finds itself in the way of people who are truly lost or desperate.
No matter what time of the day or season it is outside, the inside always has a crackling fireplace and a nourishing meal at the ready and miraculously, the drink the wanderers need the most in that moment happens to be in as well. Behind the counter, Angelica always greets you with the kind of friendly smile that warms your soul and helps you relax instantly, and Archie Donegal will wrap you in that bear hug of his and help you get your belongings to your room, should you need help. Soon he will also have a bathroom ready for you to wash the dirt and weariness away. This is usually when even the weariest of wanderers starts to feel home and relax.
The Inn's Tether is the massive roaring hearthfire in the main room, and Archie and his regulars make sure to take good care of it. Often guests do a logging trip to one of the nearby logging camps that Archie keeps active, and he takes their help as payment for their stay. Hunters regularly seek out Archie and his inn first, leaving some of their haul in the Inns vast storage cellar.
Angelicas jams and other preserves are the stuff of legends among the outdoor folk, and should you ever find yourself at their door after a long, arduous walk, you'll understand why some go as far as to call it a gift of the Gods.
