Firejade Garden

One of Taeferra's treasures can be found in Dorvelin, the capital city of Monathis, which houses the impressive Firejade Garden. Within its glass panneled walls and ceiling is a unique ecosystem where a huge variety of plants thrive, none of which can be found anywhere else in the world. Everything there has been carefully crafted and formed through the Dragonsong of Rii'Kuna, whose level of ability cannot be compared and will likely never be seen again in the world, making the Firejade Garden a highly protected national wonder.

The Firejade Garden is considered a feat of botanical and magical ingenuity, bringing people from great distances to explore and marvel at. Each plant might have some vague similarities to others across the world, but they have been so transformed that they are a whole new species, one which cannot survive outside of the walls of the Garden. Of course, this hasn't prevented people from attempting to smuggle out cuttings and seeds to grow their own. The thefts that have been discovered have resulted in failure and a three year ban to the Garden. It is safe to assume that if there any thefts which have not been found, they have equally been as unsuccesful.
There is no one particular route to follow when exploring the Garden, with multiple paths winding their way around the enclosure. These paths can sometimes lead visitors to unexpected heights or depths, via subtle slopes and descents, but the greater of these have warning signs for visitors to turn back if they wish.
It is not only plants that have been carefully manufactored for the Firejade Garden. Scattered throughout the building are small structures, looming statues and delicate fountains that fit as a natural part of their landscape. Viewing platforms and seating areas are never too far or too hard to find, with some areas specifically designed with flowers that release a relaxing or invigorating aroma. The whole Garden offers a full sensory experience through the scents, sights, and even sounds and tastes of all that lives there. Reviews have revealed that every visitor has a different experience of the Garden, even if they take the same path as others. This is offered as proof of an even more intricate level of magic and design that none had guessed at, a level that ensures no-one is overwhelmed by the sensory output here.

It's hard to pick just one plant that was my favourite, but that large red flower with the white and yellow stripes is definitely one of them. It smelled so...delicious. I don't know how else to describe it. It reminded me of mother's kitchen, the smell of her baking filling the room. I could even see it, the sun streaming through the kitchen, her bustling around doing odd chores and keeping an eye on us as we sat around the table, eagerly waiting. I never thought a flower would be able to bring that memory back.

Firejade

This gemstone seems to be full of fire that is mostly green but contains splashes of other colours, hence its name. The Firejade Garden is called such due to the similarity to the gem when seen from a distance.
