6-16-5 After the Catastrophe

Created by

A government simulation game created by Gabe Acosta, moderator of the Linguistics and Conlangs facebook group.   This is an ongoing project that was recently revived after an almost 1-year long hiatus due to lack of interest and time from the members. The game is played on a (secret) facebook group and currently three people are active with a total of six people involved.   The hiatus was retroactively explained by a member as being cause by "The Catastrophe", an event (supposedly solar flares) that would have caused all electronics on the planet to go out of order. This was accepted in the canon, and the period in which everything has to be rebuilt is starting.   This event has had significant political effects as several rebel groups have taken this opportunity to try and take over the more developed countries that had been affected by the lack of electronics, and as rules have been revised, this event is followed by a resurgence of some magic in the universe that should make the difference between the less developed nations and their futuristic neighbours less clear, especially if other events destroy electronics again.   The impact of this event has been so huge that a new era has begun and is being referred to as "After the Catastrophe" (AC, for short, as opposed to before it, which is BC). As the yearly cycle is more than twice as long as Earth, the time in-game has been sped up so that a year in real life corresponds to a full cycle of the seasons in-game, meaning each day passing in real life equals to around two days in-game.   For reference, the planet has a radius of 8248 km and rotates on its axis in 26.4 hours. Having a semi major axis of 1.75 AU around an Yellow-White F star of 1.14 sun masses, Tsarvamus has an orbital period of 792 Earth days, which means that each year is 720 local days long on the planet.   A globe of the planet with separations for every independent nation or equivalent: maptoglobe.com/B1Rc4k0PG   And a plain globe without anything to hide the continents maptoglobe.com/BkCNFPydM
