Lädunøs Kønegdøm

Dominant Kingdom of Erdä Pradis.   Currently ruled by the king Ølprid the Wise.

Structure

There is a king (køneg) and several "dukes" (riks) which each rule a rikiun. The kingdom of Lädunøs went from 3 to 4 rikiunes after the Catastrophe when the land could finally be taken back from the Etunas. These all together form the kønegrikiun. The kønegdøm is where the king's law is applied. Arguably, this could still apply to the Lädu Føris, although they are not a vassal of Lädunøs anymore, but their proximity and military inferiority means that Lädunøs can exert its power there and could, in theory, apply the king's law (although no one will actually go and police the Hapsmïd).

History

And so the Libeksas arrived on Erdä Pradis, the fires of Hell trying to follow them and lighting the night. In the chaos of the battle it is said that orcs managed to escape the fire as well through the portal and now live in the mountains of Erdä Pradis. They spent centuries building a kingdom worthy of the old one and, after some time, met those strange creatures they call Hapsmïd (half-men), that have tails as long as their small bodies - most of them are about a meter tall - and whose lives are eightfold shorter than those of men. They traded with them for some time but soon there were disputes and the Libeksas invaded the land of the Hapsmïd. The only parts of their territory that kept resisting the armies of King Raegar the Strong was a small strip of land and the islands to the west. The war lasted the entire reign of the king and ended with the Hapsmïd surrendering to avoid more bloodshed. To be precise, there was a case of treason, but I will develop that somewhere else.   The Libeksas thus made the united clans a vassal but always had trouble in the western strip and isles as resistance was still strong to the point that the sons who betrayed their fathers to take over and accept Lädunøs as their overlord were assassinated shortly afterwards and replaced by local chiefs that were a lot less friendly. And so six kings succeeded each other and slowly the easter clans began to turn to the Libeksas culture while the west resisted until the islands rose up against the Libeksas again and chased them out and were soon rallied by many western clans and eventually most eastern ones (by the end, the refusal was more due to the clan chief refusing to join the rebellion and they were assassinated and replaced). The old King Ølkaem died and came to power Ølprid, the current king, who accepted to free the Hapsmïd and managed to resume trade between the two people.
