Drakar
Yes, I'm a dragon.Dragons, or Drakar in Swedish, is a popular creature in myths and folklore around the world. In Sweden, they were generally seen as large snakes that guarded treasure. In European cultures they were mostly seen as evil. The dragons are also closely related to another creature in Northern European folklore, the Lindormar. In the Urskoga version of the world, Dragons of course exist. However, there are two types of dragons. The native dragons are similar to those in the myths. And the non-native dragons. The non-native dragons fled from their own planet and settled on this one over 3000 years ago. They live hidden among normal humans, as they can shape-shift.
Native dragons
The native dragons have been asleep for thousands of years. All for different reasons. There are several dragons sleeping across the entire world. Nobody knows exactly how many there are. Supposedly.Non-native dragons
Around 786 dragons arrived on Earth and settled. Out of these 786 first generation dragons around 542 are still alive. The original 786 dragons have several descendants. The original 542 dragons still alive are still more or less producing offspring. A person is not considered a dragon anymore if they and their family have lost the ability to shape shift. The offspring lose this ability after a couple of generations of only producing offspring with humans or other creatures. There are around 9700 descendants that are still considered dragons. A couple of these dragons live in Urskoga. While a dragon can change their shapes, a dragon can always be recognized by their pale eyes. While the original dragons can become over billion years old, the other generations of dragons can only become around 100-200 years old, even if they have only produced offspring within their species. Nobody knows why. Their dragon shapes can be any size. From the size of a cat to that of a giant. But they are mostly the size of a rhino. The dragons for the most parts stay in their human shapes, even though they sometimes have to stretch their wings. The first generation dragons can be considered Deities when it comes to their powers. They can change the fabric of reality. The later generations have a lot less magic. They can shape shift and have personal magical abilities.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
