Stone of Tinben
The Stone
In the country of Belknah is the Stone of Tinben, a fortress in the eponymous city of Tinben, an important city in the north of the country. The fortress is said to be unconquerable, having been constructed by the Nelqorana of old. Indeed, even the Empire of Juraedon couldn't assail and destroy its walls with her Wizards. It was through bribery and gifts that the Stone of Tinben was defeated. But it still stands today, impenetrable as much as its guard allows.
Its Treasure
But its strength as a fortress isn't why this place is famed. In the heart of the Stone of Tinben is a small chamber. In the center is a sword made of crystal called Callidrun lodged in the ground. It has been there for as long as anyone can remember, and is held as a sacred artifact from the gods. There is much legend surrounding the sword. Premier among these legends is that only the most worthy may take up the crystal sword; only one chosen by the gods may take up the blade and bring a new age of conquest and peace to the world.
