Orus

Orus is the god of death. In the War of the Founders, Orus was one of the most powerful. His only equal was Esara, goddess of life, whom he loves. They fought often, but Orus enjoyed every minute of it, testing his might against hers, seeing who would come out on top this time. Eventually, Orus made his move, stealing some of Esara's beautiful creations away to get her attention. She was vying for his attention as well, so she created new life for him to admire. This cycle has continued for as long as anyone can remember. The two of them proclaimed their love for each other long ago, and thus the cycles of life and death were intertwined. Esara creates gifts for Orus and he takes them when their time in the world is done. Of course, Orus takes the most beautiful ones first, preserving them in his own personal afterlife. Beauty doesn't always come from the outside, either.   Orus's fights with the other gods rarely created anything. Of the rare cases that a fight did result in creation, it often involved influence from Esara, whose magic entwined with his own. Other fights created strange results which are now considered dangerous, sinful, or unwise to tamper with. One such thing is the undead and the school of necromancy. Many of the world's most dangerous creatures came from his influence, existing only to create death wherever they roam, claiming more and more life from Esara. Even Orus hates the undead, believing them to be a corruption of Esara's beautiful magics.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Orus wants to claim all of Esara's gifts, but understands that there is a time and a place. Their beauty and value is undermined if they are not allowed time to live first.
