Formal address given by Höbin Luckyfeller, recommending the induction into the FAF Hall Of Fame, for Unyielding Excellence & Service

Esteemed members of our glorious Gnome Historical Society,   I stand before you today to introduce a figure of extraordinary curiosity and intellect—Professor Thistle Tinkerwit. An honored associate and gnome historian who has embarked on a remarkable journey to unravel the mysteries of history.
In a realm where most gnomes focus on tending to nature's wonders, Professor Tinkerwit’s unyielding passion lies in uncovering the forgotten secrets of ancient civilizations.   With an illustrious reputation, Professor Tinkerwit has done what few of us, myself included, could have done. He bridged the gap between our civilization with the world, without risking our own technology to fall into the wrong hands. This bold and brave gnome traversed faraway lands, equipped with only a satchel filled with instruments of scientific inquiry.   Unlike fellow scholars — he preferred vials, compasses, and scrolls to laptops, databases and cybernetics. I have personally watched him employing a multidisciplinary approach, merging magic and science to shed light on the past. How many of us, honorable colleagues, can employ all branches of scientific knowledge to his advantage?   If we are honest, out of 18,000 professionals with such a charge, I know of only twelve who can accomplish such a task.   The professor's adventures encompass archeological explorations where he meticulously examines ancient relics and deciphers faded inscriptions. Drawing upon principles of archaeology, he unearths buried cities and artifacts with a reverence few have equalled. His expertise in botany unveils glimpses into past civilizations through the study of ancient flora.   Moreover, Professor Tinkerwit employs principles of physics and engineering to reconstruct the purpose and design of grand ruins, while his comprehension of geology allows him to decipher the stories told within stratified rock layers.   Beyond the realm of science, he is a master alchemist who concocts potions to decode encrypted scrolls and reveal hidden maps, leading him to undiscovered temples and forgotten libraries. His mastery of astronomy enables him to discern celestial alignments, uncovering the profound connections between ancient structures and the stars.   If this was all, I would say surely such a gnome is worth of our respect and emulation? Indeed, it would be! Yet this is not all, for Professor Tinkerwit is also a student of the living.   Applying principles of psychology and sociology, he artfully pieces together the customs and traditions of bygone societies, understanding the beliefs that shaped their way of life.   Yet, perhaps most remarkable is his boundless imagination, which grants him the ability to envision vibrant ancient cities, bustling marketplaces, and the profound experiences of past civilizations. It is this very imagination that fostered my own decisions to join your glorious and honorable ranks.   Through this unique perspective, Tinkerwit delves into the hearts of the ancients, empathizing with their struggles, accomplishments, and wisdom left behind.   As a result of his relentless pursuit of knowledge, Professor Tinkerwit’s discoveries not only enrich gnome history but also provide invaluable insights for the broader world. His findings open new pathways to understanding our shared heritage. More importantly, it helps us connect with the races we came from and once mingled with.   In conclusion, I present to you Professor Thistle Tinkerwit—an exemplary gnome historian whose unparalleled dedication and unquenchable thirst for knowledge continue to illuminate the enigmatic tapestry of our past. It is with great pleasure and admiration that I recommend his inclusion into the FAF Hall Of Fame, for Unyielding Excellence & Service.
