Chapter 1: Island

After an extreme delay, it's finally out! @baumchen said, appropriately,
Following this year's theme, the first prompt got lost and stll has to be found     leads themself out again
I apologize for that, but it's here now!   The ECC Clue Crackers got to work trying to decipher the puzzle I provided on time and most people ended up...kinda...guessing most words correctly!   The answers were
  GROUND
ROUND
SOUND
BREEZE
TREES
Which is a reference to the chorus found in an old and obscure children's song from Barney and Friends that can be heard here:     TL;DW?
it's a little bit of GROUND
with water all a-ROUND
a mountain in the middle and a jungly SOUND
birds and the BREEZE
and the coconut TREES
that's what an ISLAND is!
So, that's what an ISLAND is!   Shout out to all the Clue Crackers, but @berrybrook actually did throw out the direct guess
An island
Now, what on earth is the prompt, then?

Chapter 1: Island

Your character(s) shall find themselves on an island in this prompt. Yeah yeah. Island. LOST. Shoulda known, right?
Not necessarily. This 'island' does not at all have to be a literal one. It can be as figurative as you want. The main thing you must do is to picture your character(s) in a situation that ISOLATES them. Where they feel alone, surrounded, and LOST. Whatever, however. Just make it an island! They can be all alone or alone WITH others. If you brought more than one character, you can choose to showcase only one of them here, write them all together, or even write separate instances where each of them is alone in their very own way. How you go about this is totally up to you.   Feel free to write your story in first, second, or third person, past, present, or even future tense. Adhering to the prompt however you see fit, please stay within the PG-13 realm, adding spoiler tags and trigger warnings where applicable.   Though stories are not officially being judged, please check out the Feedback Shuffle on Discord if you would like to get critique on your entries. And, for these purposes, I advise you keep your entries around 300 to 500 words. (1,000 words, at most). THESE ARE NOT HARD LIMITS.   Feel free to write in a Google doc, WorldAnvil article, WorldAnvil Forums post, or just in your character's bunkers on Discord. However you want to do it. When done, post the link below so that everyone can know you entered this Chapter.   Okay. You've waited long enough. NOW, GET LOST!   ON AN ISLAND!   God bless and much success!
