Aurelana

Aurelana the Seer is the Elven goddess of dreams. The twin sister of Umbrelana; she is the less fearsome, yet still eerie, of the two Sisters of the Night.

Aurelana is worshipped by Elves of any alignment; Cave Elves in particular are drawn to her. But among Elves and other races, those who have secrets to keep, and those who believe that dreams are omens of things to come may also come to offer service to Aurelana or request her aid.

The deities that deal with night and the dream world often find themselves either closely allied with - or vehemently opposed to the other Astralar that also control these domains. Aurelana has been known to cooperate with the Duagnar Gimna and the Humanar Somnion. There is even a religious / monastic order called the Temple of Twilight Dreams that honors both Aurelana and Somnion, and many Half-Elves believe that their very existence is testament to a relationship between the two. Conversely, there are tales of epic conflict between Aurelana and her sister Umbrelana.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Aurelana's holy symbol is a depiction of the two Crescent Moons of Cartyrion in conjunction - a red crescent Pondering Eye enclosing a white crescent Darting Eye. Senior clerics of Aurelana wear a pendant consisting of a red enamel crescent edged in gold with a white enameled crescent edged in silver within it.

If one is entrusted with a secret, one should honor that trust no matter the import or effect.

One must never break an oath of secrecy.
One must never indulge in strong drink or foods that alter the mind, for these interfere with dreams.
