Badger, Common

Badgers are omnivorous mammals that inhabit the forests, hillsides, and meadows of Cartyrion. They have been known to share burrows or lairs with other mammals such as raccoons, rabbits, ferrets, and foxes, at least in regions where food and water supply is plentiful and competition for it is not essential to survival. They are, however, fiercely protective of their own "personal space", and will attack visciously if their chosen bedding area is threatened in any way. A female tending a litter of young will defend its cubs and its space to the death.

Description

The Common Badger grows to measure approximately 1ft (30cm) tall and 2ft (60cm) from snout to tail; they can weigh between 20 and 40 lb (9 to 18kg) depending on the season of the year.
