Shylea

Shylea the Gamester is the Elven god of overindulgent pleasures. He is also a Trickster god, who is not beyond using trickery to increase his own wealth or pleasure at the expense of the unsuspecting.

During the The Great Strife, Shylea ostensibly stayed out of the fray, but behind the scenes he schemed with both sides at one time or another. Although he probably aligned better with the goals of the losers, his duplicity allowed him to avoid their fate of Imprisonment after defeat.

Elves of any alignment may worship Shylea, but especially those who themselves enjoy their wealth. Gamblers of any race may also adopt Shylea as a patron of sorts.

Divine Domains

Shylea is the Elven god of Indulgence, Luck, Passion, Trickery, and Wealth.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Shylea's holy symbol is a coin that is bright silver on one side and tarnished black on the other. His cleris will carry at least one large example of such a coin and will use it as a spellcasting focus. Many are known to rely on a toss of their coin to decide between two paths of action - leaving the choice to Shylea.

Tenets of Faith

Edicts
One should always take what is offered - and take as much of it as possible (or won’t be missed).
One should never sacrifice enjoyment for the sake of frugality. Be proud of wealth, and do not be afraid to flaunt it.

Anathema
One should not back down from a poor-odds situation. If one has no guts, one gains no glory.
One must never hide or disguise one’s wealth for fear of the opinions of others.
