The Townie Halflings

This article is one of a series providing basic information for someone choosing to role-play a Halfling of the Townie Culture in a TTRPG based in the World of Cartyrion. The series is designed to encourage preparation of a Player Character by focusing on the nature of the character without focusing on the game statistics.
Where else but a bustling town or city could you possibly expect to find all of the luxuries of life? No worries of bad harvests for you! The bakery is just down the street, next door to the butcher and the cheese-monger. And if the city is big enough, you get all of the variety of the world without ever having to leave the city gates! This is the way your family ancestors thought, and it's why you were born and raised in an urban setting.

Of course, your people had to adapt, but Halflings are good at assimilating attitudes and behaviors when it ultimately benefits them. You may not be a "proper Halfling" to some distant cousin from the farm, but you are happy - and that is what life is all about.
