Temple of Allorana

Tenets of Faith

To promote love and physical wellbeing is their goal. Doesn't matter who you love, or how, they support you. Well, within reason. They don't support pedophilia or bestiality but pretty much everything else is cool with them. So long as two consulting adults are interested in each other, that's all they need to know.

Priesthood

There is a loose hierarchy in the temple, based on seniority. A head priest/ess conducts the worshiping rites in each temple. He or she is chosen by the goddess when the old high priest/ess retires or dies. Allorana often picks the most experienced to represent her, but has made surprising choices in the past. Below the High Priest/ess is the Master/Mistress of Training, who supervises those who haven't yet sworn vows. Levels of training divide up the priestesses below them, but only the High Priest/ess and Master/Mistress of training can assign punishments. Initiate - The level of those who first join the temple, who are just beginning to learn of Allorana and her teachings. Those are this level might be people who are casually interested in the teachings but who have no intention to swear any vows. Novice - Those who have decided to take the next step in their training, and take an informal vow to serve Allorana. They receive more specialized training. Apprentice - One step below a priestess. They are training to take the tests to become a priest/ess. They also assist priest/esses in the duties that don't require blessings. Novice Priestess - Those who have formally sworn a vow to serve Allorana, and who receive a small investment of her power. There is a training period of about a year before they are allowed to use their powers unsupervised. Priestess - Those who are fully trained and can use their powers freely. At this point they are allowed to leave their home temple and find another place to settle if they choose.

Granted Divine Powers

Allorana's followers gain the ability to stimulate nerve endings. This is typically used for pleasure and pain relief, though some priestesses do get creative with it, depending on the needs of the person asking for assistance.
