My Hub for the Spooktober 2024 prompts. This year has a kaiju subtheme and I definitely want to lean into that this year. What's more fun than giant monsters and my kids will be very happy to help me brainstorm! (I think!) It's good that I already have kaiju firmly ensconced in my world!

Past Spooktobers

The Prompts

For those of you who may or may not know, I live in Florida and just as I was gearing up for Spooktober 2024, the area I live in got hit by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton roughly one week apart. While my family and my home were lucky to get through with little damage and minimal loss of utilities, not everyone in my area was so lucky.

I have personal friends who lost their homes and all their belongings. An elderly family friend had to come stay with me during Milton because her home had been flooded by Helene.

Needless to say, all of my attention was diverted by hurricane related activities.

But I really want my Spooktober badge! And I have all these pictures that I took during the hurricanes that kinda fit the kaiju theme this year. So here they are.
