Mond (M-oh-nd)
Mond is said to be the Knight of Light. He commands the skies, and is considered a demigod among citizens of the realm.
Mond runs in the sky, circling his sister Alsi as she moves slowly and gracefully through the sky.
Mond, born to the goddess of Light,Alsa, was tasked with bringing light to the dark corners of the world. One day, while on his travels, he came across a village that was being terrorized by a dragon made of shadows and smoke. Mond fought bravely against the creature and defeated it, but not before it destroyed the village. He spent weeks helping the villagers each day, but disappeared each night, only to return after he was no longer needed in the heavens. His sister, Alsi spent her time in the heavens watching his deeds and told their mother of this, worried for his well-being. She had never been on land before, spending her time watching from the heavens, slowly dancing. She worried that he was not fulfilling his duties of bringing light into the dark corners of the world. Her mother responded to her that his act brought not only light to the world, but light to the hearts of those villagers.
Alsi saw her brother in the heavens the next night, and spoke with him about this. She asked to join him the next night, which was the first of the year. For the first time, she set foot on Xeovis, and felt small. She could no longer see the entirety of the realm, and wondered how her brother could stand feeling so small. He said to her that he felt scared, which made him feel alive, and put him in touch with the small creatures living on the land. Considering this, she wondered what she could do to help. She used her spells to help the burned surroundings of the village to regrow the land, calling upon the goddess of light, for aid. Aid was granted, and her magic infused the plants with both life and light. This growth became known as shadowbane. Her brother asked if she wanted to join him when he travels the land, but she declined, deciding only to come down once per year.
