Saurey
Saurey is the seat of the Duchy of Tosmar, ruled by Highlord General Relyt Drak, Duke of Tosmar and is administered by Eliana and Saria, with the chancellor of the duchy, Key.
It is a massive city, only slightly smaller than Reykholsa in terms of land and buildings, while it is significantly smaller than Reykholsa in population.
The current population is just over 20,000, and most of the city is unused. The buildings within the city walls are magically built, which will help reduce maintenance costs for the city. It also contains magical plumbing and sewage, which is only found in other capital cities such as Reykholsa and Talyon's Cross, which creates a much larger draw to the city.
Government
Currently run by decree based on the word of Relyt and his chancellor, Key, and administered by Eliana and Saria.
Plans are in the works to appoint a council that will eventually be voted on by the citizens, while Relyt will retain full ownership and control, which Key will be able to use to create and veto laws within the city and Tosmar as a whole.
Defences
The city is surrounded 20-foot-high walls made of magically reinforced stones with guard towers, valnir mithril portcullis on the gates, with regularly-placed guard towers and turrets on the walls. They care currently unmanned due to a lack of population and trained city guard, but Relyt does have plans in the works for manning the walls and policing the city.
Infrastructure
Watermills located on the river provide irrigation and fresh water to the city and surrounding areas.
Windmills are located on the seawalls, harvesting the magical storms within the Dragontooth Bay to provide power to the city.
History
Created by the token used by Relyt, then decreed by Queen Tilda Claymore of Ideia.
Architecture
The majority of the architecture is white stonework that was magically created and reinforced.
Geography
The city is nestled between mountains on the Dragontooth Bay, allowing the river to flow through the city out into the bay.
Climate
Cool sea breeze coming from the bay of Saurey in the north keeps the climate at a great but cool temperature year-round, with beautiful fall foliage and large seas during storms, which are held back by the stone walls and seabreaks.
Natural Resources
Near the city within the dragontooth mountains to the northwest of the city is a hot spring that can be accessed by the public, though hot water is pumped into each home and business by magical means.
Within the city is a large magical greenhouse that can be used to grow all kinds of herbs, containing different chambers for different temperature requirements, though that functionality needs to be unlocked.
