Cottonball Cottonball
A perplexing species calling the surface of the Osao Ocean home, cottonball cottonballs roll about the surface of the water, gradually picking up plankton, algae and other floating plants and animals, and other random debris to increase their size. These animals are magical, their existence dependent upon aeromancy.
A Fisherman's Nightmare
Fishing isn't the most common profession on Osao but industrial fishing is quite popular. There are thousands upon thousands of fish species in the Osao Ocean, such as batfish, mohawkfish, firefish, yackadoodles, but the one thing guaranteed to be caught in their fishing nets are cottonball cottonballs.
Without fail these annoying little inanimals get caught in fishing nets. They reproduce through magical fission and so there are millions upon millions of these cottonballs bobbing over the surface of the ocean. They are drawn to loud noises and no offense to slimes, but their industrial fishing platforms aren't the quietest.
They swarm these areas in their millions, getting caught in their nets as they pull up catches from several hundred metres below the surface.
