The Crimson Fields is a small, flat island with red grass, dark grey mountains, and giant red trees, and is commonly inhabited by
fire and
earth dragons.
Geography
The majority of the island is completely flat, with hilly terrain in the northwest and mountainous and volcanic terrain in the northeast. The hills in the northwest are by no means tall - these particular hills have an average peak of 14 metres above sea level.
Marin Mountains
The Marin Mountains is named after Thei Marin, an explorer who died just two years before I set off on my own adventure. These mountains are made of a black rock, most of the volcanoes contain a molten form of it at varying viscosities. Many unusual plants grow on the sides of the mountains, as the soil is rich in nutrients and help plants grow.
Crystal Forest
Rather oddly, this forest is (obviously) home to giant red crystals. It is unknown how these crystals got here, but all that is known is that they seem to take the place of trees and slow the other trees growth. The trees that grow around the crystals are much smaller than others, and when there are less trees around these crystals glow brighter.
Fauna
As a mostly volcanic island, this place attracts a great deal of fire and earth dragons. The most common species in the volcanoes and mountains are
skyfires, who bathe in open lava. As well as skyfires, other dragons like irondarts chew through volcanic rock for their nutrients.

Flora
While the island may appear rather barren in places, many small plants grow too. Large forests of strongbark trees grow in the south and the east, with large orange fungi growing in the centre of the island, away from other trees.
