Kaltia-Drufenis War
The Kaltia-Drufenis War occured from Noriabar 1540 to Narlibar 1541, lasting 15 months.
Drufenis was starting to become overpopulated in the cities and towns and had no room to expand, so the ruler decided on expanding by taking over some, or all, of Kaltia's land. The only way they could was by defeating the leader in battle.
Due to Kaltia's unfortunate amount of war and battle losses, the leader at the time (Ario Crestgrove) decided on attacking the country as they thought there would be a high chance of winning. Unfortunately, Kaltia had been developing and funding a large army, made of 10,000 soldiers and 1000 mages. This meant Drufenis failed in the attack, as they had an army of 4000 soldiers and 200 mages.
Drufenis' army attempted to storm the capital, Horruin, after travelling by a boat fleet round the frozen seas. Kaltia had also prepared for any attack by constructing a large wall made of metal infused rocks. Drufenis' army decided to build a trench surrounding the south wall, and would attempt to break in by burrowing underneath. This worked, but was quickly met with Kaltia's army. Drufenis' army retreated back, and managed to break part of the wall. This led to a standoff lasting just over 14 months, until Kaltia's army managed to take down Drufenis' army, leading to Drufenis surrendering and ending the war.
Relationships after
The war managed to completely severe the good relationship between Kaltia and Drufenis for over two hundred years until Kaltia proposed a peace treaty, and thus a new relationship slowly reformed between the two, and as of today the relationship is relatively good, several trade routes have been established and partnerships have been formed.
