Moonvine-Wrapped Pastry
Moonvine-wrapped pastries are a delicacy in the southern Trecath region, and was brought into the Orrios region, quickly becoming a staple food and a symbol of Orrios. The pastry can come in many varieties with its ingredients, from a vegetable base, a fruit base, or other bases.
For a vegetable option, dice half an onion, chop up 3 carrots, chop up 2 large potatoes, and another vegetable of your choice.
Mix the vegetables with some angril paste, to make a thick mash of the vegetables.
Dust your working surface with a sprinkle of flour, covering the whole board.
Lay on your premade pastry mixture (unless you make your own) and roll it flat.
Then, melt 10g of butter in the microwave, and use a brush to cover the pastry on one side with the butter.
Pour the vegetable mix on one half of the buttered side of the pastry.
Fold the other half of pastry on the vegetable mix, and secure the edges of the pastry, by folding them together. Glaze the pastry in a layer of the butter, and sprinkle some crushed nuts on top if you wish.
On top of the pastry, lay down moonvine leaves, covering the entire pastry and press down on it lightly, just enough so the leaves stick to the pastry.
Put the pastry on a tray, and put in the oven for half an hour (30 minutes).
