Sun-Sorcerer

Gods are mystical, powerful beings. They can accomplish things with ease. But sometimes, they need a little bit of backup. The God of the Suns, Neoyar, owns a city in the middle of the Sarran Desert, which hides amongst a raging sandstorm, making it almost impossible to locate. But sometimes, people do. And they find rare treasures, and they often take it for their own. So Neoyar decided to hire backup, by randomly selecting a few harmonids to guard his city.

Appointment

The God Neoyar, picked 7 random people from around Sarra, to be a Sun-Sorcerer and guard his city.

Duties

These people guard the city from intruders, and they must stand for absolute eternity on 7 towers located round the city. Their entire job is to stand watch, and stare into the surroundings with their super vision they were gifted form Neoyar. Since they have no need to eat or drink, they are not given food or water, they have essentially been turned into golems, awaiting Neoyar's command.

History

About 10,000 years ago, the first ever scripts documenting the Sun-Sorcerers appeared. They described Neoyar taking random people from Galdasar, giving them God-like powers, and trapping them in the city to guard it. The sorcerers could not say goodbye to their families and friends, they were just taken without a trace.

Cultural Significance

Thousands of years ago, this myth was taken seriously, and people hated Neoyar for abducting people without their consent, so they tried to revolt against him, despite the fact they were worshipping him. The people felt they had to support the Sun-Sorcerers, no matter how they were recruited and the inharmonity of it all. Small statues of each Sun-Sorcerer were erected in the town square of outer Galdasar, to show support to the sorcerers. The central statue is of Jemerin Aridarus, the first known Sun-Sorcerer.

Powers

The Sun Sorcerers were gifted God-like powers from Neoyar. These include the creation of fire and light, creation and manipulation of a Sun, which can be used to throw at anybody trespassing, causing them to burn alive. They could create a range of weapons, made of pure light and pure heat. This made them exceptionally powerful and dangerous. They also were granted the ability to never need to eat, or drink. They never ran out of energy, meaning they could battle for eternity.
