Shoemaker's Wife
Clara and Owen Hubbard married quickly in the midst of the Great War. Now it's 1920, Owen has finally been demobbed, and they have to figure out what being married means. While Clara is keeping her aunt's apothecary shop running, Owen struggles to find work, before landing a job at a theatre. The theatre's struggling too, and that leads to a particular mystery as they work to make the winter panto season a desperately needed success.
Set in Trellech in the second half of 1920.
