I am a retired software engineer from Alabama.   I have gone back about 20 years, and I am trying to recover my old GURPS 3e (converted to 4e) Science Fiction universe. I call it the Concordance. It is a universe of jump points with a few hyperdrives. It is centered around a space station; the humans call Rainbow Station. Many of the fantasy races, including some monster races have been imported into the Concordance, with psionics replacing magic. Along with some home created races. I have tried to reference inspiration sources and the people who created our groups unique races.
