I'm a big shameless nerd for all things Hellboy, Dune, Lord of the Rings, Conan the Barbarian, Wheel of Time, World of Darkness, A Song of Ice and Fire, and Mythology from all across the world.

I had loved the Lord of the Rings and Conan the Barbarian movies long before I got to read their literary presences for the first time. But when I delved into the finer details of their worlds as can only be done in reading rather than watching, I was made an almost zealous devotee of High Fantasy and Sci-fi. And I refuse to turn back now! hahahahahahahahhaha!!!

Oh no... I've veered off course... Recalculating route (Dial up noise.)

Back on track:
After long enough of hyper googling every meticulous detail concerning all the IPs listed above. I had a hot enough fire in my gut to scream the words "I should try to write a world like these!" in my head, I began to attempt to create a fictional world. 

I won't lie. This project has taken me nearly ten years to even reach this level of world building. Two words I had no notion to apply to the task itself until it began to be coined in the statements and speeches of delightful folks all across the internet and else where. And its first incarnation (Which was so bland that I feel ashamed even thinking back on it.) was not as extensive or ambitious. 

But what do you expect from a high school kid? Best sellers on demand? PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!

This world has come a long way. It's something of a Mind Palace for me. I think on a detail, an item, or a place, and I see it as clear as a treasured memory. Though it holds details that might be more akin to nightmares than memories. It had to have them though. To fit the purpose that had struck my mind as I endeavored to flesh out this world. 

In writing out this world. It became my mission to attempt to devise a world and story that would serve as a storied and unbelievable reflection of our own world history through the lens of a tribute to the gift that High Fantasy truly is.
