Legendary Gift from Santa

Gifted to Kraken Squadron by Santa, these five gold rings appear simple enough. They were gifted in a box bearing markings of drummers, geese, and a partridge in a pear tree. When donned, the rings magically resize to the person's finger. The rings allow the wearer to sense the presence of others wearing a ring from the set, even over great distances.

You can sense the direction and approximate distance of creatures wearing another ring from the set for up to 500 miles. Likewise, others wearing a ring from the set can sense the same of you. This sense cannot be used to determine the health or safety of the other wearers, just their general direction. The distance is gaged by how strongly the presense of the others can be felt.
