Metamagical Initiate

Prerequisite: the ability to cast at least one spell

You have an inherent or learned flexibility with your spellcasting.  

• You learn one Metamagic option of your choice. If you have the Font of Magic feature, you can apply this option to your spells using sorcery points.
• You can apply the selected Metamagic option to a spell without spending sorcery points if it would normally cost no more than 2 sorcery points as applied. If the selected Metamagic option refers to your Charisma, substitute the spellcasting ability applicable to the spell you cast. You can use this Metamagic option without cost like this only once, regaining the ability to do so after you complete a long rest.
