This defensive power allows a psionicist to deflect
a missile in flight or a weapon in mid-swing in
order to make it miss its target. He may attempt
this on a weapon targeted at himself or someone
else.
An invisible barrier of magical force appears and
protects you or your target. Until the start of your
next turn, you or your target have a +5 bonus to
AC, including against the triggering attack, and you
take no damage from non-magical ranged attacks.
Deflect can be used on any thrown. fired, or handheld
weapon, including giant-thrown boulders or
ballista bolts. It has no effect on creatures
attacking with their own natural weaponry such as
teeth or claws.
