Friday Knight Knives - Rat Fight

Mod Priority: Fixed Time

Desired Timeslot: Friday Night, As close to 1am as feasible

NPCs Required: 1 ROUS (Gari), 1 Old York Sewer Rat (Sam), 1 Circus Carnifex Barker (Ideally Brendan)

Content Type: Spectacle, Investigation

Summary:

In the gritty outskirts of Ellistown Landing, a clandestine event is stirring up unrest. Circus Carnifex, always in pursuit of novel entertainments, has smuggled a fearsome creature, an Old York Sewer Rat, into the Bailey. The plan? To stage a harrowing pit fight against a formidable local opponent, a Bahlsmore ROUS (Rodent of Unusual Size). This spectacle has drawn attention and ire from different quarters, turning it into not just a fight for survival in the pit, but a complex social battlefield.

Hooks:

The Circus Carnifex barker should go round up a crowd (and ideally start taking bets) while the rest of the mod sets up THE PIT

Related Props:

Rat Costumes

Details:

You can do a simple pit fight or improvise something more dramatic. While the veneer here is 2 NPCs hamming up a fight, the real goal is to create a spectacle that gives players an opportunity to do investigation and skullduggery on circus carnifex. If the barker gets bagged, have the players report to Ops to narrate (unless Brendan is comfortable just vamping it if he's avaiable).

Rewards:

Betting rewards; but really entertainment and, if sought, information.

Threats:

Bahlsmore ROUS
