Playing Dead
Wings of Death
5-level Transmutation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range/Area: Self
Components: V, S, M
Materials: the bone of a winged creature
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour
This spell causes you to sprout forth a pair of skeletal
wings from your back for the duration of the spell. You
gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
If you cast this spell while wearing armor, the spell
automatically fails unless the armor is made to accommodate
the wings, and clothing not made to accommodate
your wings might be destroyed when you
cast this spell.
Additionally, as an action, you can cause your
skeletal wings to unleash a shower of sharp bone
shards upon your foes. Each creature in a 30-foot
cone must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking
5d6 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much
damage on a successful one.
When you use this action, you lose your flying
speed until the start of your next turn as the skeletal
wings reform. If you’re in the air when you use this
action or when the spell ends, you fall if nothing else is
holding you aloft.
