(Real world: Blowgun & Blowdarts) A pipa is a tube traditionally crafted from a stalk of bamboo or sugarcane but can also be carved from a length of wood bored hollow or split and then bound together again, and is often wrapped with cord and waterproofing resin. A piston of cork or some other material is added to power the zecchia, since the dart shaft is smaller than the inside of the pipa. They are often equipped with offset mouthpieces, which originated in Augord, and enable the user to sight down the barrel. In the Damisela River region, they use multiple pipes lashed together so as to offer the chance to prepare multiple projectiles to fire in quick sequence.
 
Cego refers to the powdered seeds of a certain plant called cego, a strongly irritating substance, that stings the eyes of the target and blinds him or her, as well as burns their throat and causes them to cough. Since it disperses, it does not have the same range as a dart or pellet.
