In general, Dwarves are a robust folk, both physically and mentally, and are good at working with their hands. As a result:
- Dwarves gain the Stress and Consequence benefits of the Physique skill as if it were 2 shifts higher than it is.
- Similarly, they gain the Stress and Consequence benefits of the Will skill as if it were 2 shifts higher than it is.
- Provided that they are using no tools whatsoever (working directly with their hands), or working with their own personal tools, they may add +2 to a Crafts roll once per effort they are trying to achieve.
A Dwarf’s
personal tools are an intimate part of their lives. Dwarves would no more use another Dwarf’s personal tools than they would wear another Dwarf's underwear.
The flip side of those advantages is that Dwarves tend to be overconfident about their ability to take damage, willful/stubborn to the point of being inflexible, and preoccupied with their personal material possessions.
