Death Throes When the drake is reduced to 0 hp, it explodes in a cascade of magical energy. All creatures within 10 ft. of the drake must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 (5d8) force damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. Drakes and other dragons are always considered vulnerable to this damage, even if they would otherwise be resistant or immune. War Mount While the drake is serving as a mount, it can use its reaction to make a single melee attack immediately before or after its rider takes the Attack action.
Multiattack The drake makes two bite attacks, or two claw attacks if it is airborne. Bite Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 13 2d8+4 piercing damage. Claws (in flight only) Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 8 1d8+4 slashing damage. If both claw attacks hit, the target is grappled (escape DC 15), and the drake can immediately use a bonus action to fly up to half its speed. Breath Weapon (Recharge 6) The drake exhales fire in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 6d8 fire or lightning damage (drake's choice) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
