A spell tome created by Valorfax, Monarch of Magic as part of their journeymen's piece.
After its completion, many demigods made their own magic tomes. Each did so for their own reason, but this was the first.
Due to Valorfax's tendency to show off with everything they do, these spells are both extremely powerful and very costly.
Ascended Spells are very powerful but cost 2 Spell slots to cast, one of the spells level and one just below.
Ascended Spells can be learned by any class but must be learned from an ascended tome.
Learning them does not count against your total number of spells known and they do not need to be prepared.
