9. Modular Armor The Fortress Plate has an Armor Value of 10 and fills both the Chest and Head sections.

This armor gives +1 AC and has 3 charges. In addition, if an effect moves you against your will, the distance is reduced by half.

While attuned to this armor, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges, casting one of the following;

  • Defenders' Volley: You cause a swarm of tiny arrows to shoot from your armor's tiny windows. All creatures in a 30-foot cone must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d2 magical piercing damage on a fail, or half as much on a success.
  • Moat: You summon a 2-foot deep pool of water on the ground in a 15-foot radius centered on yourself, leaving a 5-foot area of dry ground in the middle. The pool's depth is independent of the ground it rests on and will remain there for 1 minute or until the start of your next turn after you move.
  • Burning Oil: You cause searing oil to pour from your armor. All creatures in a 5-foot radius around you must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 fire damage. Creatures that are smaller than you make this save with disadvantage.


  • The armor regains all expended charges daily at dawn.
