A smaller subrace of the Goliaths, the incorrectly named Horneaters (Maku La Iki in the Giant tongue) have accustomed themselves to far warmer climates than their Peakborn brethren, their tendency towards both hotter and more humid climates believed to originate from their fire and sea giant origins. Most Horneaters tend to live in small, secluded communities within secluded oasis' or beaches, some small communities of Horneater's are even said to exist within the impenetrable, lizardmen infested Emerald Stretch.
Whilst Horneaters tend to be peaceable and well-mannered in their communities, content to be secluded, it is not uncommon for their members to express the more firey nature within their blood and set out for the world at large, either out of wanderlust or a desire to simply see something beyond their own small communities, some Horneaters have even been known to take up the adventuring and mercenary lives, using their odd appearance and powerful builds to make their way past many a rough encounter to return home with their spoils and stories.
Rather noteably, 'Horneater' is an incorrect moniker proscbided to these tribes, as whilst they do eat horns, it is not only limited to such things, Horneaters consume a variety of keratin and chitinous shells from their largely crustacean diets, as these are required to maintain and grow both their horns and tusks.
