link broke broken checker
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
There have been times where I would make an edit to an article that would end up rendering a link broken, such as a link to an previous article that I have forgotten about. I wouldnt discover this mistake until I check the live webpage of my world to see how my articles are doing, only to find that the link I had previously made no longer works because I had forgotten that it links to the other article that I had edited heavily. This had happened on a number of occassions that required me to find the affected articles one by one, and make the corrections. Normally this wouldnt be much of a problem if there was only a few links, but I'm starting to see that the more content I create and link the more likely that this can keep happening. This is a problem that I'm certain that many other users are having.
Therefore, I'm putting in a request for a native broken link checking feature within WorldAnvil that would make it much easier for users to find any broken links.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Having a broken link checking feature would make editing articles much easier by giving users the option to scane their worlds to see if there are any broken links, and direct them to the exact problem(s). Plus, the link checker would also send an notification alerting the owner of any link issues. This would help make the editing process much faster since the owner can find the problem quicker, allowing them to make the corrections.
What are other uses for this feature request?
While having a broken link checker would check articles for broken links, this can be expanded into other aspects of the owner's worlds. Timelines, Chronicles, images, maps, and more can benefit from this feature.
