Session 01 : Goblin Attacks near Kilderhide Report

General Summary

After traveling the length of the road from Kilderhide to the diverting point at the end of the road leading to Himoor and Heagrove. They encounter a few merchants traveling to Kilderhide. They met Nelaser Taldilindar The Butcher, Robin Rowntree The Carpenter and Thurkar The Blacksmith. They soon found themselves at the diverting fork in the road and discovered disturbance in a nearby tree that showed signs of someone had been climbing or sitting in the tree for some time as well as drag marks in the grass behind the road sign. After Rolen Galanodel used his survival skills to follow the tracks to a large tree. The party soon heard mumbling and noises coming from above in the tree. Looking up they found a dwarf bound and gagged and tied to one of the larger branches. Upon much discussion and debating Luthar The Just grabbed the Tarp from the cart that Howl Pendragon was hiding under and stretched it out in time before Thazarr De'jassan used his Eldrich Blast to break the branch sending the dwarf crashing down and landing in the stretched tarp.   After Luthar The Just removed the dwarves binding, the dwarf introduced himself as Gamin Hammermail a traveling Cook. Who described his attack as being swamped by Goblins and how they took is lovely cookery wares. Thazarr De'jassan Handed Gamin Hammermail his short bow and some arrows and the part said he can wait by there cart to be taken back to Kilderhide once they have tackled the goblin raiders.   After heading north as per the directs given from Gamin Hammermail the goblins were heading in. The party soon came across a clearing in the forest where stood an abanded fort.     After Rolen Galanodel surveyed the area and found no other ways into the fort the party decided the front door was the only option. But they approach with a cunning plan. Howl Pendragon looked under the door through the gab and noticed a pair of goblin feet on the other side. Using his best Vocal Skills and Acting chops he was able to convince the goblin that they had treasure to bring into the fort. The goblin opened the door only to be swiftly cut down by Luthar The Just who was poised and ready with his sword and stabbed the goblin through the head.   The party quick entered the fort and peaking under the next door found and seeing it clear entered into the corridor in the middle of the fort. They peeked under the first door on there right and noticed a set of goblin feet on the far side of the room. Once again Howl Pendragon used his vocal talents to inform the goblin they had a prisoner and needed help. The goblin was not sure of this as they do not take prisoners. To which Howl Pendragon swiftly replied it was a dead one and asked for help. Again his vocal work tricked the goblin into opening the door. Where once again Luthar The Just stabbed the goblin clean through.   It was at this point that Thazarr De'jassan had started to move and hide the bodies. They entered the room and walked over to the larger doors facing the front of the building and again Howl Pendragon knocked on the door and this time again pretending to be a goblin said that they needed help in the corridor. Unfortunately, the goblin on the other side replied that he and the guys would help. QUickly Howl Pendragon asked well how many are coming to help. The goblin responds "well there is one, then another one and I think me". Three goblins were about to enter the room. The door opened and quick Luthar The Just plunged his sword through but was not quick enough and only wounded the goblin. Reacting to there failed attempt Howl Pendragon rapidly cast fire hands and blasted the three goblins into flame and burnt them all to charged meat. Rolen Galanodel was taken back by this and moved away from Howl Pendragon .   After Thazarr De'jassan had searched the remains and found two gold pieces and handing one to Howl Pendragon the group quickly went to check out the room next to them and found it empty apart from a green rug. They soon walked back through the corridor and peeked under the large double doors. Howl Pendragon counted three sets of goblin feet among several tables and chairs. The party decided there is no tricking this many goblins again and quickly Harstork Dewgaze kicked open the door wide and Luthar The Just charged in and swang hard and true but his sword struck the plated shoulder of the closet goblin. Soon the chaos of fighting broke out. Rolen Galanodel shot flames into the face of one of the goblins of the far side. Thazarr De'jassan was placing hexes on every goblin that moved, Harstork Dewgaze swang cleaved the head of one goblin. Luthar The Just dispatched the one he had with a mighty blow and Thazarr De'jassan finished off the final one with another fine Eldritch Blast.   The party took many a blow to and suffered minor damages and paused for a moment to lick wounds and to catch there breath. But what will happen next in the fort of goblins.
