Session 3: Dinner with a Vampire Report
General Summary
The party left Madam Eva and the Vistani band and continued their trek to Vallaki. As they made their way up the Old Svalich Road, the road forked; one branch leading to Vallaki and potential safety, the other climbed on the cliff face leading to the imposing Castle Ravenloft. On the road they found a black carriage pulled by two draft horses, and as they approached the doors to the carriage opened, beckoning them inside. The horses were servants of Strahd and when the party refused to be brought to the castle, they left to inform their master.
Down the road, the party passed through a densely wooded area of the road and when they emerged they found a dinner party set up in the middle of the road with Strahd waiting for them at the head. After a tense meal, where Strahd demonstrated some of his power, he promised to kill the party save Aleksandra, and he disappeared.
The party went the rest of the way to Vallaki, defending themselves from wolves in the process, and finally laid eyes on the town.
