Episode 42 - Choice and Consequences

General Summary

The session opened with a cutscene. Lasdo was interrogating a drow who allegedly had knowledge as to the location of Ardura's soul prison. When the drow refused to speak, Lasdo left and allowed Lady Charlindra Lin'orzza question him. When the interrogation was done, Lady Charlindra had the location of Ardura's soul prison. "She won't be easy to reach," she told Lasdo. Lasdo smiled and said, "Leave that to me, my dear. Leave that to me"   Meanwhile, after coming face to face with the mystical gunslinger assassin of the Twilight Empire, the Guardians of Golarion foiled any further attempt to delay Serdrissa by killing him. Seeing this assassin seemed to cause Kuuro a great deal of mental trauma, resulting in her being clearly rattled and unable to take any action against him. With no time to waste, Arcaan grabbed Serdrissa, pulled her onto his horse, and the two of them bolted toward Riddleport. Fjord began questioning the group, saying he felt that going further was only giving Nolveniss and the drow either a chance to escape or attack. The party decided to return to Crying Leaf and prepare to attack Nolveniss within the Armageddon Echo.   The group traveled north and camped for the evening at the Crossroads. During the night, Kuuro confessed to Rooker that the assassin they had killed had been responsible for murdering a man who was like a brother to her when she lived in Riddleport. Godric dealt with Reh's floating backpack and Telith used the power (and banner) of Iomedae to keep a snoopy neighbor away.   After arriving at Crying Leave, an emotional Eviana told them that the drow had emerged from the Echo, along with Kaerishiel. Soul-fed golems had killed the elven soldiers in Celwynvian, turning them into undead soldiers under Kaerishiel’s control. Kaerishiel told Eviana that all of this death was her fault for involving the Guardians of Golarion in elven business. His army would now march on Crying Leaf, and if she didn’t hand over the Guardians, every man, woman, and child of Crying Leaf would die and rise again as part of his army. And every one of those deaths would be on Eviana’s head.
