Sesison 9 Report

General Summary

After leaving Madam Fortenesque's music shop the party briefly spoke with Brian who informed that that Fred had let him know earlier in the day that he was on the way to Lurra.  A couple days passed before he arrived and informed the party that things had taken a turn for the worse in Dargon, since the party left, with reports of much of the population being killed, with some being turned to vampires and others being turned into undead soldiers. Fred questioned the party on their encounter with Ace believing they could be related.  After travelling to an encampment placed a day away from Durgen you were told the other mercenary groups will be arriving soon along with a Paladin of Ortus.   Once the Paladin arrived she introduced herself as Azaya, a Leonin Paladin who served Ortis, the god of light. Azaya told you of the origin of the Vampire Lord Brukan, that Elmara suffered a plague of Vampire's some time back, Brukan was the last remaining and after a hard fought battle was defeated. Azaya herself defeated him and placed a mask that would severely limit his vampiric abilities on him for him to be brought to Ortis for execution. However Brukan had a special ability that was unknown to them, he had the ability to bewitch people with his eyes alone. One night, when their guard was lax, he did this, bewitching one of his guards and killing the other and escaping.  From your description Azaya believes this guard was the butler who served him now.
