Session 17 Report

General Summary

The party set out for the research tower finding it towards the end of the day. The first thing they noticed was the the door was broken, and after a little inspection, revealed that it had broken from the inside out, You also found a black substance on the door, and upon looking into the tower, seems to be everywhere, except a small area which showed runes. First examining the table, most of the papers seemed to have been covered in the substance you eventually realised to be ink, however you were able to make out some details. First the researchers names were Edgar and Allan, and that they had been trying to find a way to boost magic against anti-magic effects. As the party inspected the runes the ink came alive, as well as the candles as chalk in the area and attacked the party.   After defeating what was identified as magical anomalies by Loopty, the party broke down the locked door at the top of the stairs finding a mostly empty room. Some more notes, which seemed to be Allan's diary described what happened. They talked of a potential breakthrough, then Allan talked about an unintended effect which caused magical anomalies, which killed Edgar, and he fled from, locking the door behind him. The next few entries talked about how he would eventually run out of food if help did not arrive, and so he decided to try and find a way out of this predicament. Using the anti-magic notes they had he had worked on a being that could potentially swallow magic, allowing him to leave safely, this was the last entry.   The party realised a blue slime they had seen in another room, with clothes upon it must be the creature. The problem was the creature was right in front of a chest you believed to hold the potion that was their breakthrough, intending to brink this back to Harvess you came up with a plan to distract the slime and lead it away, while Buns and Loopty snuck into the room and took the potion. However as the slime was leaving the room, Loopty had an unfortunate accident.
