Session 16 Report

General Summary

The Party spoke with Mellor at The Leaky Cauldron, Hel showed him the Blackstone. Mellor recognised it as a magical stone that he has been researching. He said he has been tracking them, while he did confirm that one has recently fallen from the sky, he told you he was unable to tell you its location as its a valuable asset to the tower. He told you he could set up a meeting with Jane Yarrow, the head of the Tower. He also warned Loopty that things have been different recently, and also let Loopty know that his old apprentice Shane Jarvon is now the head of artificing, his old position.   After waiting for notification on the meeting the party travelled to the Tower and were allowed in and escorting to Jane's office. Jane told the party that they had sent a group to locate the fallen star, however they had lost contact with them. She was still reluctant to tell you their location so she offered a test, a research location a days travel from the town had recently lost contact, she asked you to travel there, find out what happened to them and report back, she also told you that learning what they were researching was part of the test. During the conversation Nyx let loose that she was related to an old respected mage at the tower named Eredel, who had been murdered before Nyx fled to tower. After the rest of the party left Nyx and Jane conversed more, Nyx revealed that she had spent time with the 'Sisters of the New Moon' Coven, Jane was extremely wary upon hearing that name, and told Nyx that they have been known for kidnapping young girls and taking them to train them up. Jane also promised to look into Nyx's heritage, specifically that of her mother, and of a possible magical bloodline.   After arriving back at the Tavern Shane arrived to talk with Loopty, he informed him that Arcus has been missing for quite some time after embarking on a trip to the 'Gift of Parretoa, and Jane was growing nervous about this. Shane asked Loopty to keep this information to himself, as it was extremely secret. He also warned Loopty that the tower Jane was sending them to was researching anti-magic techniques. Just before leaving the tavern Buns asked Shane to have a loook at the amulet he received from Azaya, Shane told Buns it was created by Mallitor and Ortus working together, and that it still had much power left to unlock.
