Session IX: 2 Truths and A a Lie Report

General Summary

We begin with a session of 2 truths and a lie, with each going with their story, and each going with their questions until their 15 min. are up to choose. Jolie volunteers to go first with the following 3 stories:  

1. Father is a cardinal of the Silverflame church and adopted them
2. They have many adopted siblings
3. The main area of studies in the family is etiquette

  Jolie has no adopted sibblings, though no one guessed correctly, pointing to the etiquette class.   Next, Demitri was up and brought the following stories:  

1. Born of the material plane
2. Parents mistreated them growing up
3. Grew up North of Morgrave

  Demitri never knew their parents, and both Flip and Jolie guessed the correct answers.   Next, Lilli followed up with the following:  

1. I have a brother named Fizzgig, he is estranged from the family, after failing to negotiate with the Cannith family
2. Participated and nearly won the Stonehearth games in the Mror Hold
3. Her dad is an accountant for the Kundarak family

  The lie in this instance was that Lilli did not win the Stone Hearth games, which Jolie guessed correctly.   Flip goes last with the following stories:  

1. I am currently on a journey of discovery. That is why I live alone on the beach.
2. I am in no way responsible for the sunken ship near my home. I found it by chance.
3. I wasn't always a water Genasi. I don't know specifically what I am.

  Flip was never a fire genasi (a.k.a. was always a water genasi). Lilli guessed correctly.   This concluded the social studies session, with Jolie being recommended social roles in negotiations and interrogations, counter to Demitri with the lower score, encouraged to avoid social roles in a group. Roles were detailed to the group, explaining the various themes adventurers are often faced with.   Then, the group found itself in gear and equipment class, outside of school property, at the edge of the platform. Tokens were distributed to the class and Jolie volunteered with professor Gurtan for a demonstration, to which, he tried to push them over the edge, but Jolie caught him, and he had to jump with them to make the demonstration of the feather fall token. This was to explain that weapons aren't the only equipment to worry about in adventuring, and that learning to fall is also a great skill. The group then all practiced jumping. Everyone but Flip landed well and with no issue. However Flip tried to show off with a cartwheel launch, missed and also missed regaining control, flipping all the way down until a face landing (but no injuries, but slight soreness to the body and ego).   Focuses were turned in, with Lilli using the book mark she got from Flip, Jolie using a Silver Flame rosary, Demitri having crafted their in weaving class as a glove with powder pockets and Flip purchasing a temporary book focus. Practice, essays and reading were done during the month until the next class.   The group then closed with discussion among themselves, both to tackle Flip's need to open the window all the time despite the cooling of the weather (an agreement was struck to close at night) and arguments about arguing ensued. Demitri left an apology note to Jolie who returned it, in part to some verbal wounds from Lilli the evening prior.   END GAME
