Session XXI: Career Fair Report

General Summary

Rested, the group avoided the room marked as 'real danger' and crossed the other of the canal, finding the fake wall in the well room (there was a potential to swim between the wells if the wall was not found) to the next session. They found a rat's nest and a giant spider cave. Using Speak with Animals, Flip was able to somewhat calm the spider and promise food instead. Lilli pitched the plan to try and bypass that without a fight with the bribe, but Jolie didn't trust it. With a majority vote, they fought the rats (which did have a nasty bit, as it was a big swarm of them) and tossed them at the spiders. The plan worked but the group didn't ask to test how much and rushed for the exit, finishing the dungeon mostly intact and with a few spoils added.   A few days later, the group gathered at the auditorium for a career fair, where they all explored the potential newspaper that could hire them. They had word with Mr. Periwinkles of the Korranberg, seeing all the options for far travel, the Breland Ledger, but found them too political and dull, and Sharn, which was questionned both in the narrow content but also, the questionnable morals of the paper.   In the end, the group opted for the Korranberg and after debates on where they wanted to live (proximity to water and main travel-ways), opted for the branch in Vathirond.   There was an event, at the end of the fair, where a conversation led to a lasting misunderstanding between Flip and Gwen ("Are you breaking up with me?" Not usually a question where you leave the answer pending.) and a confrontation between Gwen and Jolie, continued in IC chat.   In parrallel, there was an outcome post the fair in the dorm room, where breaking news announced, during the coronation of King Bortan of Breland, that Breland was now at war with Droamm, blaming them for King Boranel's death. Soon affter, Kryx was knocking at the door, asking for help.   END OF SESSION
