Session 4: Grave encounters. Report

General Summary

The scene started with Lyon and Willy in the house of the strange man in the woods. Within the home they found what seems to be a makeshift altar on a desk, with a few strange creations. Upon closer inspection, these were bezoars with thick brambles sprouting around them. They also armed themselves with a shortsword which lay against the wall.   However, they did not leave fast enough and were confronted by the hut's owner on the way out. This resulted in a chase which led to a severe wound on Lyon's back and almost the slaughter of the man in the hut during the altercation. As he bled to death, Lyon did his best to save him and after tearing the bezoar from the brambles, he forced the man to consume it, forcing him into a deep sleep.   Afterwards, they ran until their feet could carry them no longer, towards an advantage point which could allow them not only to rest, but to figure out what would be going on and how this man could be involved in the blight in the woods.   During the night, Lyon took up the first watch and observed a source of light, going through the woods into the clearing with a burning hut. There she observed the silhouette of a man meeting with a crawling humanoid that came out of the woods to meet him in the middle of the clearing. After this, they finally set down to rest, with Willy taking over the watch for the remainder of the night which was since then, rather tranquil.   In the morning they set out to explore other areas of the Forest, taking the left-most path at the crossing and going down into the entrance of a cave. While Lyon waited outside Willy decided to go within and retrieve some freshwater to refill their canteens.   Within, Willy has found a source of freshwater indeed, but he also noticed a few creatures swimming in the water within half submerged structures. Though he filled his canteen, he has yet to make it out...
