Session 84: Psychopomps & Circumstance

General Summary

  Back at Iriswood University the campus was buzzing with activity. Kristoff, Devlin, and the other zephyrs were on high alert with the protective barrier down. Delicious smells wafted from the kitchens at all times of day. Students and staff alike prepared warding wreaths and other preventative measures in anticipation of the Festival of First Light celebrations.   Drained from the ordeal in Tilesía, the upcoming holiday was a welcome respite. Copious food, drink, and good company would help soothe their wounds--both mental and physical.   Given the university's relationship to the Feywild and its denizens, no-one was surprised when a mari lwyd graced the feast hall with its presence. Chari very nearly brought the house down with her ill-conceived humor. Yet, despite the ensuing chaos, Bart put aside his misgivings in the name of the holiday season. At the end of the night, the fey spirit departed and nobody was the worse for wear.   Outside, Odallie cleared space for everyone to watch the sunrise. As light crested the mountains of the Wailing Valley the Dragon Punchers took a moment to enjoy the stillness of a quiet moment together with some of their dearest friends.
